LYN'S MISSION
To write a series that inspires her readers and fight senior hunger across America. Through her signing events, she will raise funds and awareness for senior meal programs in each town she visits.
Growing up, my parents were busy raising four kids on a small farm--with a huge garden; and they both had jobs besides. Us kids were involved in all kinds of activities, and Dad and Mom wore constant chauffeur hats.
And...even with their whirlwind schedules, they still took time to adopt the elders in our neighborhood. As needed, they shopped for them, cooked for them, brought them meals, comforted them; and in general, Dad and Mom gave the greatest give they could give...themselves. These two are my example of how to do it right...and by their example, I was led to this mission.

The tragedy of senior hunger across America is unacceptable; and the Meals on Wheels Association of America sums it up the best...
